SEASON
The 2009 NSW Surf Lifesaving
championships have taken place over the last two weekends at
Swansea/Belmont’s Blacksmiths Beach with just on 8000 competitors
taking part in the state’s biggest championship event. All results can
be accessed on our website - NSW State Championships huge effort from all the
volunteers, and all members of Hunter Branch Clubs had great success.
Congratulations on an excellent job.

booklet by Monday 9th March 2009.
Please don't forget you only have 1
week after the end of the month to enter patrol hours on Surfguard. It
would be appreciated if you could send in your YELLOW Patrol
sheets to the Branch Office.
Clubs are reminded that if they participate in any
event outside of Surf Lifesaving, Water safety, people power
etc you must
lodge a Special
Event Form to cover your members with
Insurance. These can be downloaded from our website MEMBERS - Downloadable

all our Patrolling members:
The season is drawing to a close with only 7 weeks left to patrol our beaches.
Let’s all strive to stay ever vigilant, have fun whilst managing and
maintaining a safe environment for the bathing public. Involve all your
patrol members in pro-active activities, take time out on quiet days to
organise exercise management scenarios and training activities.
JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT:
Youth
Development Camp: Ahoy me hearties - Final arrangements
have been made for this wonderful experience on Treasure Island for our
young pirates. A great opportunity for team building and leadership skills.
Following Saturday’s adventures will be the Rookie Challenge Day
where our young rookies will participate in a number of skills
including a Lifesaver Relay and Body Board Relay. Hope everyone
has a great weekend.
